German Linguistics between Cologne and Tokyo

From event structure to discourse structure

6th International Workshop of the University of Cologne and the University of Tokyo

February 22.-23, 2021, online

The 6th International Workshop of the series German Linguistics between Cologne and Tokyo (GAKT) will take place at the University of Cologne (online) from February 22-23, 2021. The doctoral conference is organized by the Institute for German Language and Literature I, Department of Linguistics at the University of Cologne and the CRC 1252.

Under the title From event structure to discourse structure, doctoral students from the University of Cologne and the University of Tokyo will present their current research on German and general linguistics. Each of the talks will be supplemented by a commentary of an experienced scholar. This is intended to create a discursive format with intensive scientific exchange, which offers the speakers impulses for the further development of their work.
